Alena E. McCauley, 80, of Canton, passed away Friday, July 14th, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. Born in New Kensington, PA on June 21, 1943, a daughter of the late Dale and Nellie (Merriman) Gier. Survived by 2 daughters Sherry (Doug) Branan, Shelly (John) Stephens; son James R. (Andrea) McCauley, all of Canton; 3 sisters Darlene Pettruny, Tynne (James) Anderson, Seena Gier; brother Rhyse (Geri) Gier; 5 grandchildren Heather, Jonathan, Erin, Nathan, and Doug; 3 great-grandchildren Nevaeh, Jaren, and Wesley; close friend Erica Warren; as well as numerous nieces; nephews; family members; and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 5th in Sunset Hills Memory Garden. The family requests memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society in Alena's honor.
