Andrew Mayle, 64, of Canton, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on June 21, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Philippi, West Virginia on February 3, 1962, he was the son of the late Lemuel and Louise (Dalton) Mayle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jackie (Deanie) Dalton.
Andrew was a highly respected contractor whose work spoke for itself. Known throughout the community for his skill, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, he built a reputation that earned him countless recommendations and the trust of many. Whether he was installing floors, crafting custom carpentry projects, or transforming bathrooms with beautifully tiled showers, Andrew approached every job with pride and dedication. He believed in doing things the right way, and the quality of his work left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him professionally. Beyond his work, Andrew had a deep appreciation for motorcycles and cars and enjoyed the freedom and excitement they brought him. He loved spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and making memories that will be treasured for years to come. Music was another passion in his life, and he especially enjoyed listening to rock music, often tuning in to Rock 106.9. Andrew was a man with an exceptionally kind heart. He welcomed everyone with open arms and had an incredible capacity for forgiveness. While he was compassionate and understanding, he also stood his ground when necessary and remained true to his values. His generosity, loyalty, and willingness to help others touched the lives of many. Survived by 2 sons Andrew "Chase" (Jessica) Mayle, Chad (Amber) Mayle; daughter Chelsea (Jesse) Cole; sister Carolyn (Richard) Mayle; brother Lemuel "Buddy" (Nancy) Mayle; 10 grandchildren Traci, Aleesia, Andréa, Kylie, Chad Jr., Julieanna, Olivia, Maya, Jesse, David; 3 great-grandchildren Aaliyah, Amira, Saif; special niece Teri Lou; 3 special friends Elmon Davis, George Davis, Mike Kanam; his beloved German Shepard, Ceaser; as well as other loving family members and friends.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Crossroads Hospice for the compassionate comfort and care they provided to Andrew and his loved ones during his final days. They would also like to offer a special thank you to his daughter-in-law, Amber, and his sister, Carolyn, for their unwavering support, care, and love. Their kindness and devotion brought immeasurable comfort and will never be forgotten.
Andrew's legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the friendships he cherished, the family he loved, and the beautiful work he created with his own hands. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
