Anna Mae Fillinger
Anna Mae Fillinger, 73, of Canton and a former resident of the Astoria Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Canton, "Heaven Called" and Anna Mae Fillinger answered on Monday, August 13th, in Mercy Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Anna Mae was born in Grafton, West Virginia on July 13, 1939, the daughter of the late Parley T. and Dessie (Croston) Mayle, her 1st husband Charles Mayle died 1985 after 27 years of marriage, her 2nd husband Gerald E. Fillinger died December 4, 2008 after 20 years of marriage also preceded in death by 3 brothers Buford (Kelly) Mayle, Allen Mayle and John Mayle.
A longtime former member of the New Life Tabernacle Church of Massillon and a present member of the New Harmony Worship Center also in Massillon.
Survived by daughter Pamela (Rev. William) Parsons, son Charles Mayle Jr., daughter in love Sonja Strange Mayle all of Canton; brother James Mayle of Royal Oak, MI.; 6 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and 1 great grandson expected in November. Anna Mae was "Grandma" to many who loved her.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, August 16, 2012, in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with her son-in-law, Pastor Bill Parsons officiating. Friends May call 6-8 PM Wednesday also in the funeral home. Burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
