Annie D. Sims, 79, of Canton went home to the Lord on Tuesday, April 8 in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center of Canton.

Annie was born in Camilla, Georgia on July 9, 1934, the daughter of the late Felix and Gussie (King) Quimbley. Besides her parents also preceded in death by two husbands Sam Jeter and Freddie Sims; daughter Nancy Glenn; two sons Bobby Jeter, Marvin Reese; a grandson Michael Jeter and a great grandson Montoya Damon Hill Jr.

Employed for 28 years as a nurses' aide at the former Joseph T. Nist Nursing Home of Louisville and member of Union Baptist Church of Canton and of the Lucille Esther Chapter 14 Order of the Eastern Star of Canton.

Survived by three sons Timothy Jeter, Richard Perdue, Felix Reese; beloved step-daughter Donna Brewer; brother Arnold Butler all of Canton; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; special granddaughters Latisha and Helen Porter; special friends Edward and Shirley Andrade, Ida Web, Elizabeth Strickland and Dorothy Young.

Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Monday, April 14, in the Union Baptist Church, 413 Cornelia Ave NE, Canton, 44704, with Rev. Sherman Martin officiating. The family will receive friends same-day from 11 AM until time of service also in the church. Burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens of Louisville.
