Arizona F. Smith, 100, of Louisville, passed away into the arms of his Savior and reunited with his beloved wife, Edith of 69 years, on Saturday, July 12th, at St. Joseph's Senior Living Center. Born in Spring Dale, West Virginia on November 2, 1924, a son of the late London and Laura (Burnett) Smith. In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by 6 brothers and 1 sister. Arizona was a devoted Christian throughout his life. A skilled hunter and farmer in his early days, he respected the land as a gift and responsibility. He worked for LTV Steel, of Canton, as a mill inspector for 37 years prior to retiring. Survived by daughter, Cathy Kaufman of Louisville; son, Wesley Smith of Marshallville; 5 grandchildren, Joanie Kaufman, David (Erika) Kaufman all of Canton, Erika Smith of Salem, Tyler (Jen) Smith of Alliance, and Jordan Wriker; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as other loving family members and friends. A Funeral service will be held in the Waltner-Simchak Funeral Home on Friday, July 18th, at 12pm with Rev. Jackman officiating. Family and friends may call one hour prior. Burial will follow at the Paris Ave Beech Mennonite Cemetery.
