Arline J. Alecusan, 88, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, December 30 ^th , 2014 peacefully at St. Joseph Care Center, Louisville following a lengthy illness. Arline was born in Canton on August 20, 1926, daughter of the late Clyde and Okalona (Yost) Hurless also preceded in death by her husband George Alecusan Jr. on February 25, 2003, and 3 sisters Shirley Means, Audrey Kennedy and Neva Hurless. A member of St. George Romanian Catholic Cathedral of Canton, and the Sf. Maria's Lodge Ladies Auxiliary of the Church.

Employed as a Registered Nurse at both Aultman and Mercy Hospitals of Canton for many years. Survived by a daughter Carol (Denny) Popa of N.Canton; 2 sons George S. (Liz) Alecusan of Hilliard.  Gary (Melanie) Alecusan of Rogers, Arkansas; 2 sisters Louella Talabac of Canal Fulton, Barbara Miller of Canton; 3 brothers Rodney,  Donald, Dale Hurless all of Canton; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at St. George Romanian Catholic Cathedral 10 AM Monday, January 5 ^th , 2015 with Very Rev. Ovidiu Marginean officiating. Friends may call 4-6 PM Sunday, January 4 ^th , 2015 in the Waltner - SIMCHAK Funeral Home where a Saracusta Service will be held at 5:30 PM and one hour prior to services on Monday in the Church.  Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
