Obituary

Arnold Dean Holbrook, age 59, of Canton, and a 1980 graduate from lake High School, passed away suddenly on January 29, 2022. He was born in Findlay, and honorably served in the United States Navy for 21 years, having served on both the U.S.S. Carl Vinson as well as the U.S.S. Saipan during his career. He traveled the world. He was preceded in death by his father Clinton E. Holbrook and brother-in-law, Richard Halter, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Billie Laughlin, daughter Stephanie Nicole Holbrook (Rob), two granddaughters, Cheyenne and Addie. Also surviving his ex-wife and best friend, Victoria Holbrook; his siblings Rhonda Halter, Jackie Basford, and Arlene Holbrook, his brother, Calvin Holbrook, niece, Tabitha Baker and nephew, David Baker (Casey). His great nieces, Faith, Isabella, Skylar, and Riley, his great nephew Hunter Baker, one aunt, Doris Jean Caudill, of Kentucky, as well as many cousins from Kentucky and West Virginia. He loved his country, family, and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home on February 7, 2022. Friends and family may call 2 hours prior to services.
