Barbara Kennedy, 70, of Canton, passed away Monday, January 27th, at Mercy. Born in Belpre, Ohio on February 8, 1954, a daughter of the late Clifford and Kathleen (Allender) Mayle. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by sister Brenda Neyland and brother Jake Croston. Barbara worked for the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities for 20 years before retiring. Survived by her loving husband of 53 years Ronald Kennedy; daughter Teresa Barnett, of the home; 2 sons Michael (Sabrina) Kennedy, of Massillon, Ronald (Jennie) Kennedy, of Canton; 4 sisters Hope Brewster, Starr Shope, Bonnie Rivers, Ann Mayle; 3 brothers Mark Allender, Duke Allender, Billy Mayle; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 special nieces Crystal Croston and Tracey Baldwin as well as other family members and friends. Calling hours will be held in the Waltner-Simchak Funeral Home on Friday, January 31st from 5PM - 7PM. A funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday, February 1st at 12 PM with Pastor Anthony Mayle officiating, family and friends may call 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday.
