Benjamin Cornell Gracia, 65, of Canton, passed away Saturday, June 24th, at Aultman Hospital. Born in Canton on February 3, 1958, a son of Margaret A. (Perry) Gracia and the late Benjamin F. Gracia, also preceded in death by best friends Alan, Bop and Manny. A United States Army veteran, Ben served in the Middle East during Operation Desert Shield-Desert Storm. He was employed for the Timken Steel Company in Canton before retiring. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife Elaine Williams-Gracia; 2 daughters Tanicia Gracia, of Raleigh, North Carolina, Tina Williams, of Carmel, Indiana; son Terrance Patterson, of Dayton, Ohio; 4 sisters Denise (Reginald) Gracia-Kelly, of Michigan, Michele Gracia, of New Jersey, Ricarda Johnson, of Tennessee, Stephanie (Charles Minor) Gracia, of Canton; 3 brothers Roland (Doris) Gracia, of Arizona, Philip (Janet) Gracia, of Minnesota, Wayne Scott Gracia, of Canton; and 4 grandchildren Brielle, Zaijaa, Layla and Jonathan as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 7th in the Christ the Servant Parish at Our Lady of Peace Church with Father Scott Kopp as Celebrant. Calling hours will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 6th in the Waltner-Simchak Funeral Home.
