Bernice C Caldwell

Bernice Clare Caldwell, 85, of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, June 28, in the St. Joseph Care Center of Louisville. Bernice was born in Canton, to the late John and Mary (McCallum) Snyder on April 11, 1929. Graduated from Mount Marie Academy (Central Catholic High School) in 1947. A member of St. Louis Catholic Church of Louisville. Married James L Caldwell on June 10, 1950. Besides her parents and husband, Bernice is preceded in death by three brothers Francis, Charles, and William Snyder; two sisters-in-law Lucille and Josephine Snyder; sister Sister Mary Owen Snyder, of the Humility of Mary Order; her nephew Merlin Caldwell Jr.; nieces Cynthia Caldwell and Josette Pennix.

Survived by two daughters Mary (Steven) Dick, Maureen (David) Pearce; a son John (Sue) Caldwell; granddaughters Kathryn Dick, Erin (Matthew) Christine, Christine (James) Schreiber, Holly and Olivia Pearce; great-granddaughter Abigail Christine; great-grandson Jackson "Jack" Schreiber; sister Sister Agnes Clare Snyder, of the Humility of Mary Order; sister-in-law Nancy Snyder.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the St. Louis Catholic Church at 10am on Thursday, July 3rd with Father Lawrence E Frient officiating.

Friends may call on Wednesday, July 2nd from 6-8pm in the Waltner-SIMCHAK funeral home.

Burial in St. Louis Cemetery.
