Bert E. Eddy

Bert E. Eddy, 84, of Canton, passed away Thursday, July 26th, while in the company of family members  at his residence following a one year illness.

Bert was born in Fairview, Ohio on August 3, 1927, the son of the late Ernest and Luella (Stevens) Eddy.

Employed for 36 yrs. as a Loader/Leader at LTV Steel in  Canton and served in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman during the end of WW II.

Preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth A. (Hess) Eddy to whom he married September 23, 1947, died February 11, 2005.  A member of the Canton South Church of the Nazarene and the AFL-CIO Union #1200 of the United Steel Workers.

Survived by  1 daughter Katherine (Paul)  Coyle, 4 sons Bert L. (Tammy)  Eddy Sr. both of Canton, Clay J. (Patricia)  Eddy of Louisville, Dale R. (Penny)  Eddy of Columbus, Craig A (Becky)  Eddy also of Canton;
sister Ruth Harris of Byesville; 3 brothers Herman Eddy of Zanesville, Willard Eddy, Virgil Eddy both of Barnesville; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, July 30th, in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Laughlin officiating. Friends may call Sunday, July 29th, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM also in the funeral home. Burial in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
