Bishop Marvin "Jack" Mayle, 73, of Canton, passed away Friday, August 27th, at his home while surrounded by loved ones. Born in Philippi, West Virginia on December 29, 1947, a son of the late Clyde and Jessie Mayle, also preceded in death by 6 sisters and 5 brothers. Employed as a craneman and chief metal operator at Republic Steel from 1969 until his retirement in 2008. Practicing ministry for 40 years, he devoted his life to God and was Pastor and member of Canton Freewill Baptist Church. Besides his wife Deanna L. (Murray) Mayle, married May 8, 1977, he is survived by 4 daughters Denise (Rick) Mellon, of Paris, Mechelle McMillen, Connie "Betsy" (Scott) Ream, Nicole (Terry) Mayle, all of Canton; 2 sons Marvin "Lee" (Danielle) Mayle, Matthew Mayle, all of Canton; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; as well as many nieces and nephews whom had a special place in his heart. Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, August 31st in the Canton Freewill Baptist Church, 2817 Harmont Ave NE, Canton, OH 44705, with Pastor Anthony Mayle officiating. Family and friends may call two hours prior to services in the church. Burial will take place in Evergreen memorial gardens.
