Charles R. Gardiner
Charles R. Gardiner, 77, of Massillon passed away Friday, March 8th, 2013 following a lengthy illness in the Affinity Medical Center in Massillon. Charles was born in Washington, PA on April 27, 1935, the son of the late Edward and Alice (Pearl) Gardiner. Aside from his parents, he is also preceded in death by his longtime companion of 35 years Betty Slabaugh, a sister and six brothers. He was employed in the food service industry retiring in 2002. Survived by a daughter Penny Gardiner; three sons William, Tim and Dennis Gardiner; a brother Clifford Gardiner; ten grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
