Charles E Lott, Sr., 87, went to be with the LORD and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 2nd, 2016, while surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Charles was born to the late Thomas and Emmaline (Scott) Lott in Newark, NJ on September 10, 1929. Also preceded in death by son Bernard Jones; daughter Mary Catherine Babb; sister Mary Catherine; 3 brothers James, Fredrick, and Harry; and former wife Rose (Townes) Lott. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife and constant companion of 55 years: Gloria (Thomas) Lott; 6 sons Kevin (Stephanie) Lott, Brandon (Lisa) Lott, Charles Lott Jr., Douglas Lott, all of Canton, Kenneth (Editor) Lott, Nathaniel (Anetha) Lott, both of Alliance; daughters Shelbi Mealy and Tamara (Cedric) Perrin, both of Canton, Elizabeth Middleton of Florida, Marcelle Jones of Lexington, KY, and Toni Brown of Cleveland, OH.
Charles was a Professional Drummer all of his life. He was also a Piano Technician for over 40 years and had many loyal customers. He was also a Phlebotomist and Pathologist at local hospitals. as well as a security Guard for the Timken Company.
He loved and served the LORD faithfully alongside his devoted wife Gloria at Faith United Christian Church, where he played drums for over 30 years. He was also a custodian, van driver and served as a Benevolent Volunteer, Deacon, Elder, and Board Chairman. He was also a good and faithful man to his family and friends. He never met a stranger and loved everyone.
Charles retired at the age of 86 when he could no longer keep up the pace and jump up and kick his heels!!
He was an avid boxing fan and loved to travel. Charles will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
