Obituary

Chuck Harrer, 77, of Canton, passed away Sunday, January 19th, at Aultman Hospital. Born in Dearborn, Michigan on January 7, 1948, a son of the late Walter and Bertha (Bohasic) Harrer. Aside from his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Walter Harrer and sister, Jan. Chuck was a really good guy, and a real friend who loved building electronics. He loved to laugh and pull pranks. Chuck spent the majority of his life in California a place he dearly loved. It was here where he met Patty.  He was so taken by her that he proposed after 5 days and 5 days after that they were married.  For the last year he was in and out of the hospital.  He handled every twist and turn that his health took with courage knowing it brought him one step closer to independence at home. He was always kind to his caregivers. Survived by his loving wife of 38 years; son, Charles Michael Harrer; sister, Barbara Grant; 3 grandchildren Dominic Natoli, Ethan Harrer, Brady Harrer; as well as other family members and friends. His wife would like to thank Alisha his Physical Therapist and Brad his Occupational Therapist for their hard work and humor. Emily his speech Therapist,  he enjoyed you and the candy but not the exercises. You all meant a lot to him. In lieu of flowers the family asks for you to donate to your local Animal Shelter. No services will be held at this time.
