Christopher Ewing Wood

Christopher Wood, formerly of Lakewood and Brook Park Ohio, passed away suddenly on April 11, 2016 in Canton, Ohio.  He was born in Cleveland, February 4, 1966 to the late Dudley Harold Wood and Marian Ewing Wood. Chris attended Lakewood High School where he played clarinet in the marching band.  After graduation he worked for Rocky River Shell Station for a number of years before heading out for adventure in Seattle.  He loved the Pacific Northwest, but decided he missed his family and friends in Ohio.  Chris came back to the Cleveland area and resumed working at the Shell station. He learned to work on cars and managed the operations at the station for several years. Chris loved playing softball and volleyball playing, on several Metro Park teams. He was an excellent cook, especially when camping.  His sense of humor was legendary among his family and friends. Chris will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Chris is survived by his two daughters, Kayla and Jenna, his brothers Jonathan (Elaine) and Clark, nieces, nephews and a whole host of cousins and friends.

​Funeral services will be held May 2, 2016, 5:00pm, Wesley Hall, The United Methodist Church of Bera, 170 Seminary Street, Berea, Ohio, reception to follow.
