Clayton Lee Douglas, 89, of Sandy Hook, KY formerly of Canton passed away Monday, May 7th, following a lengthy illness at the Astoria Skilled Nursing Home.
Clayton was born in Toledo on April 2, 1923, the son of the late William and Anna Douglas, also preceded in death by his wife Mary (Whitely) Douglas.
A retired Gourmet Chef at Missouri State University and served in the U.S. Marines during WW II.
Survived by his children Rita (Arrgo) Conley of KY, Elaine Heffner, Clay (Sherry) , Cliff (Cathy), Steve (Janis), Gary (Amy) Haidet all of Canton; grandchildren Clayton Lee, Adam, Crystal, Elicia, Catrina, Stephanie, Joe Gantz, Heather Cody all of Canton, Lavonnie Conley of FL.; 15 great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 6-8 PM Friday, May 11, in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home to defray expenses.
