Clayton Lawrence LaClair Sr., 88, of Louisville passed away Wednesday, March 4th surrounded by the ones he loved. Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota on November 20, 1937 a son of the late Willard LaClair and Ona (Burnell) Reid. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife Elvira Margaret Reahsler as well as 2 brothers Clifford LeClair and Clyde LaClair (his twin brother). Clayton was a proud Navy veteran who carried his love of service throughout his life. Years later, that legacy lives on as some of his grandchildren follow in his footsteps. When he wasn't sharing stories or spending time with family, he could often be found watching CNN and keeping up with the world around him. Survived by 3 children Julie Casanova, Clayton (Deb) LaClair Jr., Carolyn LaClair ; 7 grandchildren Joshua, Jason, Nicholas, Jeremy, Casey, Chase, Breanna; 8 great grandchildren Darren, Jackson, Lilly, Aubrey, Elizabeth, Odin, Miles, Myles as well as many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Burial will take place in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery • 7601 34th Ave South, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55450• on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 2 PM.
