Colletta Pearl Kennedy, 62, was born in Philippi, West Virginia May 8th, 1959. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Lillian "Pity" and Victor Collins. She is survived by her husband of 45 years Joseph "Stoney" Kennedy; sister Elaine Newman; 2 brothers Eugene (Donna) Collins, Eric (Amber) Collins, all of Ohio; special cousin Charlotte Kennedy; 2 special sister-in-laws Deloris Mayle and Ada Mae Kennedy as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Throughout her life Colletta was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. Her faith in God she inherited from her late mother was never ending. In her younger years she worked odd jobs however her greatest work in life was shown in the way she cared for her family including her nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. Helping to raise them was her greatest joy. She also enjoyed crafting, crocheting and knitting. Her generosity was shown in the handmade gifts she gave. In her later years she enjoyed spending time playing games on her phone and quality time with her family playing cards and having meals together. She will be greatly missed by many but is rejoicing now. "Only an aunt can give hugs like a mother, keep secrets like a sister and share love like a friend." To us she will always be known as Auntie.
