Dan "Chunky" Radanovich Jr., 81, of Richville, OH, passed away due to complications from a stroke. Born on January 27th, 1944 to the late Dušan and Edna (Radakovich) Radanovich in Massillon, OH. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Gojko Radanovich, and grandson Nicolas Radanovich. Chunky was a proud graduate of Massillon Washington High School Class of 1962 and was a die-hard, life long fan of the Massillon Tigers. After high school, Dan spent six years in the Army Reserves. He would spend 30 years as a tanker truck driver for Ray Molder Carrier and another 10 years as a salesman for Downtown Ford. He loved the jobs he worked however his favorite work was helping at the many of the area's local racetracks, most notably Midvale Speedway, where he became a 2019 Hall of Fame inductee for being the track announcer. Chunky had a unique personality and a special way with people as he loved to entertain them and make them laugh. you would rarely see him without a smile on his face and he had many memorable times with family and friends that he loved dearly. Dan is survived by his four children, daughters Chris (Tim) Ferris of Canton, Toni (Tony) Marmon of Massillon, Diana (Joe Aventino) Radanovich of New Franklin, son Dan (Monica) Radanovich of Richville, and sister Diana (George) Gorring of Massillon. He had 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family would like to give their gratitude to the wonderful staff that took care of Dan at Aultman Woodlawn Compassionate Care. Per Chunky's wishes, a cremation will take place with no services to follow.
