Daniel Sparks, 80, of Canton, Ohio passed away in his home on August 14, 2026. Born in Sanford, Florida on January 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Cora Lee (Burke) Sparks. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Katherine (Winfield) Sparks. Daniel will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be missed for his great sense of humor and the jokes that could always bring a smile or a laugh. He enjoyed the simple things in life-fishing, golfing, and spending time "porch pimpin'", where he could sit back, relax, and watch everyone passing by. Daniel was a self-employed CDL truck driver for many years, a career he continued until his retirement. He took pride in his work and the independence that came with it. Most of all, Daniel was a special and treasured part of his family's life and a truly special friend to so many. His kindness, laughter, friendship, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all his friends and family. He will be missed more than words can say, but never forgotten. Survived by daughter Anissa Massey; 3 sons Daniel Massey, Rodrick Sparks, Robert Massey; brother Herbert Burke; numerous grandkids and great grandchildren; his significant other Patricia A. Massey; stepchildren Julie and John Winfield; adopted daughter-in-law Tamala Smith; as well as other loving family members and friends.
