Danny Eugene Johnson, 63, of Amsterdam, OH, passed away Monday, January 6th, at Aultman Hospital. Born in Canton on December 9, 1956, a son of the late Shirley and Opal (Mayle) Johnson, also preceded in death by sister in law Scarlet, nephews Quentin Smith-Sopousek and Marquis Johnson. Danny was a member of the Allegheny Lenape Indian Council of Ohio. Besides his wife Kathy (Caldwell) Johnson; he is survived by daughter Hillary Johnson, of Canton; son Zachary Johnson, of North Canton; 2 sisters Beverly Joanne (Roger) Smith, Freeda (Ed) Palmer, all of Canton; 4 brothers Roger (Carol) Johnson Sr, of East Canton, Ronald Johnson, of Philippi, WV, David (Jeanne) Johnson, Myron Johnson, all of Canton; 3 grandchildren Veronica Goley, Ma'rya Smith, Jayden Wise; as well as many nieces; nephews; loving family members; and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, January 11th in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Elder Christopher Taylor officiating. Friends may call on Friday, January 10th from 5PM to 8PM also in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
