David A. Holden, 54, of Louisville, passed away Monday, June 28th, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton on August 24, 1966, a son of the late Virgil L. and Shirley C. (Heilman) Holden. A professional land surveyor he was the owner of Holden and Associates as well as Hall of Fame Firearms. An avid firearms collector David was a member of Ohio Gun Collectors Association, National Rifle Association, Stark Gun Collectors, Maumee Valley Gun Collectors, Ruger Gun Collectors, Dalllas Arms Collectors, Colt Collectors Association, Winchester Arms Collectors Association and Smith & Wesson Collectors Association. Survived by wife Charlotte (Branch) Holden; 2 daughters Ashley Holden, Christina "Chrissy" Holden; son Michael Holden, all of Louisville and  brother James (Donna) Holden, of Newbury as well as 2 granddaughters Olyvia and Kailyn Copeland. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 6th in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Fr. Tom Bishop officiating. Friends and family may call at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a memorial donation to the University of Akron Zips Rifle Club.
