David Alan Hough, 76, of Canton, passed away Thursday, August 14th, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton on January 28, 1949, a son of the late Donald and Jackie (Joseph) Hough. A proud Vietnam veteran, a fierce lover of rock 'n' roll, a sharpshooter with an unmatched eye, and a movie buff to his core, David lived life with intensity, humor, and heart. He served his country with honor and dedication, rising to the rank of Sergeant during his time in the Army. David was a lifelong fan of gritty guitars and loud anthems, his favorite sound was the raw power of rock 'n' roll. From Led Zeppelin to Ozzy Osbourne, his playlist was a journey through decades of rebellion, freedom, and pure soul. Movies were another of his great loves. Whether it was a classic Western, Star Wars, or even a good show, like Star trek, he appreciated the art of storytelling and the comfort of a well-worn favorite. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda (Sinnett) Hough; son Dan (Marissa) Hough; 2 grandchildren Isaac Hough, Rayna Hough; 2 step-granddaughters Ellayah Rice, Zahmyah Sistrunk; his precious dog Scrappy; as well as other loving family members and friends. No services will be held at this time.
