Debra Kay Newman, 58, of Canton, passed away Monday, July 17th, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton on November 29, 1958, a daughter of Donna (Smith) Newman and the late Osgood Newman, also preceded in death by a son CB Lowe III. She was retired from Indian River Juvenile Correction Center as a juvenile corrections officer. Besides her mother, she is survived by sister Mahalia Newman, of Canton; 2 brothers Michael Osgood Newman, of Columbus, Timothy Eugene Newman, of Canton, 2 nieces Taja M. Newman of Massillon, Morgan A. Newman of Charlotte, NC; nephew Michael O. Newman of Columbus; along with many friends and relatives A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, July, 24th from noon until 1PM in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home, family and friends will be invited to speak Monday at 1PM on Debra's behalf, also in the funeral home.
