Delford L Mayle, 74, of Canton, passed away Saturday, September 9th, at Aultman Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Grafton, West Virginia on July 19, 1943, a son of the late Wilbert and Lillian (Parsons) Mayle, also preceded in death by son Timothy Lee Mayle, died 1997. Employed as a heavy equipment operator at Gregory Galvanizing Canton., for 40 years, before retiring in 2005. Served in the U.S. Army as a SPC 4, during the Vietnam Conflict. Survived by his wife and loving companion of 39 years Voila (Taylor) Mayle, 2 daughters Lorietta Mayle, of Canton South. Denise (Wayne) Balmer, of Coco, FL; 2 sons Druford (Liesl) Mayle, of Norwick, CT, Wesley Mayle of Canton; 6 sisters Judy White, of Lawrenceville, GA, Julia Mayle, Eleby Taylor, both of Canton, Elda Howard, of Hot Springs, VA, Emma Taylor, of Canton, Erma Mayle, of Grafton, WV; 4 brothers Durley Mayle, of Grafton, WV, Dennis Mayle, Jefferson Mayle, both of Canton, Zendell Mayle, of Grafton, WV; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11am in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin "Jack" Mayle officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8pm also in the funeral home.
