Della A. Mayle age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday July 13th at Green Meadows nursing facility of Louisville surrounded by loved ones and staff who cared for her fondly. Born in Philippi, West Virginia on December 30th, 1934 to the late Leroy and Jessie (Newman) Mayle. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Eugene Mayle as well as a host of siblings Lemuel Mayle, Averille (Mayle) Croston, Columbus "Bob" Mayle, William Mckinley Mayle, Mona Jo Mayle, Sara Jo (Collins) Mayle, Eileen (Newman) Mayle, Lenora (Mayle) Croston. Della worked various jobs in Canton, Ohio before retiring from Kmart. She was a faithful woman of God and attended Apostolic Believers In The Lord Jesus Christ as a dedicated member for many years. Having no biological children of her own, she is survived by many generations of nieces and nephews of whom she loved like her own, she was affectionately referred to as "nanny". Throughout her life Della enjoyed many hobbies such as gardening, going to and having garage sales as well as traveling home to West Virginia to visit. Most precious to her of all was spending time with family and friends of whom she loved so dearly. Whether it was making a home cooked meal, going to Bible study, having a long talk on the phone, baby sitting or just sitting on the porch having a nice visit, Della truly cared for everyone she knew. She will be forever missed by many. Calling hours will be held in the Waltner-Simchak Funeral Home on Saturday July 19th from 3PM- 5PM. Additional calling hours will be held in the Wright Funeral Home •  216 N Walnut St, Philippi, West Virginia 26416 • on Monday July 21st from 10 AM- 12 PM, Funeral service at 12PM with Pastor Jacob Smithmyer officiating. Burial to follow at Welch cemetery.
