Dennis L Kratzer, 66 of Canton, passed away Tuesday August 29th, 2017 following a lengthy illness. Born in Canton on July 19, 1951, a son of the late Stanley Leverne and Norma Louise (Weik) Kratzer, also preceded in death by his wife Jennie Kratzer, died June 26th, 2015, sister Renee Griffith, 2 brothers Gale Kratzer, and Stanley Kratzer. Employed in the maintenance department at Stark Metropolitan Housing for 35 years before retiring in 2013, was a graduate and lifelong fan of McKinley High School Bulldogs, a member of Canton VFW Post 3747. Survived by step son Harry Slaton, of Malvern; sister Sharon Yarnell, of Canton; also survived by 20 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 2nd, at 11am in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Dennis's uncle, Wayne Kratzer officiating.
