Denzel L. Ramsey

Denzel L. Ramsey, 72, of Canton went home to the Lord on Friday, May 16, following a lengthy illness at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Denzel was born in Chesterhill on February 14, 1942, the son of the late Floyd and Katherine (Gibson) Ramsey; also preceded in death by three brothers, Delbert Ramsey, Leroy Ramsey, Malcome Goins and a sister Creola Edwards.

A member of the New Covenant Church of Canton, employed in construction most of his life with Laborer's Local #1015 as well as a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survived by his wife of 33 years, Gloria 'Jeanie' Ramsey, son Bradley Mayle of the home; three sisters Madeline Williams, Marcella Ogden, 'Jinks' Williams all of Belpre; a brother Pastor Eugene Ramsey of Columbus, a special little boy he holds dear to his heart, Scooter Montgomery; and two special cousins Ricky Mayle and Harry Thompson.

Funeral Services will be held in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 21 with Pastor Ron Mayle officiating. Friends are invited to call from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, May 20, also in the funeral home. Burial in Warstler Cemetery.
