Dewey "Dave" L. Jackson Jr.
Dewey "Dave" L. Jackson, Jr. 68, of Canton, passed away in Mercy Medical Center on Sunday, April 1st., after a brief illness. He was born in Coalton, WV on April 16th., 1943 to Dewey "Duke" L. Jackson Sr. and Lois "Jackie" N. (Brady) Jackson, Braghieri.
Dave went to Coalton High School and then moved with his family to Canton in 1959. He was an Army veteran serving during the mid-sixties in Alaska. Having asthma didn't deter him from entering the military; it helped him breathe better and took away his asthma. Dave worked for several companies, finishing his career after many years of work with the Liberty Vending Co. Among his activities, he enjoyed his "poker-runs" with his motorcycle friends.
Survived by one son, Gregory Jackson, 5 sisters Karen (James) Dittmore, Darlena (Dean) Martinez, Sandra Sikora, Fran (Ed) Overdorf, Beverly (Mike) Henderhan; 4 brothers Rodney (Brenda) Jackson, Michael Braghieri, Joe Braghieri, and Tony (Tamara) Braghieri; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a sister Marilyn Waugh Wingard.
According to his wishes there will be no services.
