Donna Penix, 67, of Louisville passed away Sunday, January 11th in her home. Born on December 13th, 1958 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Franklin and Cecilia (Yauger) Skelton. Donna was a devoted and hardworking woman whose life was defined by quiet dedication, love for family, and appreciation for life's simple joys. She proudly served as a cook for Athens for an incredible 47 years, a role she approached with commitment, consistency, and care. For nearly five decades, Donna nourished others not only with meals, but with reliability and heart, becoming a familiar and valued presence to many. Family was at the center of Donna's world. One of her greatest joys was sharing Sunday breakfast with her loved ones, a cherished tradition filled with conversation, comfort, and togetherness. In her quieter moments, Donna found comfort in watching Hallmark movies, enjoying stories that reflected warmth, hope, and simple happiness. She also loved going to the beach on vacation, where she could relax, enjoy the sound of the waves, and step away from the routines of everyday life. Survived by 2 daughters Danielle Penix, Jennifer Butterfield; granddaughter Hannah Spencer, numerous siblings; as well as other loving family members and friends.
