Doris Marie Solvey, 88, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, May 5th, at Allay Senior Care of Meyers Lake. Born in Canton, on April 7, 1933, a daughter of the late Morris and Florence (Hafer) Vandermuelen, also preceded in death by husband Walter Solvey; brothers Robert and George Vandermuelen. Survived by companion of 34 years, Clarence "Skip" Johnson; daughter Cheryl Lynn Shankle; sons Terry (Kathy) Solvey, all of Louisville, Gary (Carla) Solvey, Perry Solvey, all of Canton and sister Amelia Bradshaw, of Joy, Texas as well as 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 8th at 12:00 PM in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Chaplain Glenn Nestlerode officiating. Friends and family may call starting at 10:00 AM, also in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Louisville, following services.
