Reflections of Life
Dorothy Mae (Clements) Kelly was born in Berry, AL on May 1, 1932 along with her twin brother Donnie Ray Clements to parents Peter Clements Jr. and Anniebell (Prewitt) Clements. Dorothy and Donald were number seven and eight of nine children.

She departed this life on Wednesday, March 5 at Mercy Medical Center. Dorothy was raised in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church until her teenage years when her family joined the Berry Sanctified C.O.G.I.C. She was educated in the Fayette County Public School system graduating from Fayette County High School in 1951.

After graduating high school she and a classmate of hers relocated to New York City where they found employment and began working. It was in New York City in 1960 that Dorothy met and married Donald Kelly. To this union four children were born.

Dorothy and her four children relocated to Canton from New York City in April 1977 with the assistance of Pastor Lee Knucklos and the Pentecostal Family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandaughter Kayla Kelly, sisters Madeline, Buelah, Juanita, Cebell, Olivia, Willie Joe; twin brother Donnie Ray, and baby sister Martha Elizabeth. Dorothy is the last member of her generation to pass. She leaves to cherish her memory, four children. Deborah Kelly Peters of Marion, Timothy (Garnettia) Kelly of Elyria, Doreen Kelly of Canton, Eugene Kelly of Canton; grandchildren Mychal, Mario Braddy both of Marion, Timothy 'TJ', JaQuayla Kelly both of Canton, Devonte Sargent of Columbus, Syndny Scott of Newark, Jaylinah Johnson of Canton, Jwuan and DeJour Kelly both of Canton; six great-grandchildren; special nieces Alice Long and Mary Kendrick both of Columbus; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins as well as many friends and the Pentecostal Church Family.

A memorial service will be held in the Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, 718 Henrietta Ave NE, Canton 44704 on Wednesday March 12, at 1 PM with Rev. Dr. William Knucklos officiating.
