Dorothy L. Hogue, 94, of Canton, passed away Sunday, July 31st, 2011 peacefully and surrounded by her family at Hanover House following an extended illness.

Born in Canton, on September 4, 1916, the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Ferringer) Moushey, also preceeded in death by Daughter Susan D. Hogue, 4 Brothers, Ronald, Louis, Kenneth and Robert Moushey.

Dorothy was a longtime member of the Crystal Park United Methodist Church of Canton and a member and former Treasurer of its Wesleyan Sunday School, sang in the church choir and a member of the Apostles of Joy Religious Group Singers. Former President of the Horace Mann PTA and an employee of the Stark County Board of Elections.

Survived by her husband Andrew R. Hogue, whom she married on August 5,1934, a daughter, Myrna Mylius of N. Canton; three sons Donald R. Hogue of N. Canton, Kenneth A. (Edith) Hogue of Canton , Jack D. (Wilma) Hogue of Massillon, 9 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at Crystal Park United Methodist Church, Canton, at 11am on Thursday, August 4th,  with Pastor Carolyn Nichols officiating.  Friends are invited to call from 6-8pm, Wednesday, August 3rd     at the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home.  Interment at Forrest Hill Cemetery.
