Douglas Neilson, 55, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2025. Born in Dennison, on October 8, 1969, a son of the late Gary and Georgia (Vosick) Neilson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Casey Neilson; grandfather, Charles "Chick" Neilson; grandparents Brownie "Jr" and Hazel "Pat" Vosick; and uncles Brownie and Dale Vosick. Doug was someone who truly loved the outdoors. Whether he was riding his bike or cheering on his favorite riders at GNCC races, he was in his element. He competed in many bike races over the years and had a deep passion for adventure and being active. Doug was also a gifted artist with a creative spirit that showed in everything he did. Survived by his three children, Kailee Lindon, Meadow Neilson, and Drake Neilson; his sister, Hallie Neilson; his grandmother, Lorene Neilson; his aunt and uncle, Cathy and John Waddington; nieces, Logan (Andrew) Spencer and Braxton Neilson; nephew, Griffin (Sam) Garbrandt; granddaughter, Kyree; his beloved kitty, Monkey; as well as other loving family members and friends.

Doug will be remembered for his big heart, his love for family and nature, and the way he could make people smile just by being himself. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
