Dwayne B. "Dave" Croston, 67, of Canton, passed away Thursday, March 10th, at Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Louisville on January 21, 1955, a son of the late Hollie Lee "Ruff" and Shirley (Campbell) Croston, also preceded in death by step-son Richard lee Coburn Jr., sister Sue King, 2 brothers Arnold Croston, and Roger Croston, sister-in-law Linda Bishop and niece Heather. Employed for many years with Laborers Local 1015 before retiring. Survived by his wife of 45 years Cindy G. (Hazlett) Croston; daughter Leslie Machesney; 3 step-children whom he raised as his own Jeannie Aventino, Rebecca Sue Brumback, John M. Coburn, all of Canton, sister Dorothy Ruch; grandchildren Zachary, Brandon, Ryleigh, John A., Bobby, Cynthia, Matthew, Arielle, Brycen; nephews Chris, Dayle, Bryan, Tommy, Mike, Bryan; nieces Tracy, Patty, Amy, Laura, Candy, Melissa, Gracie, Denise, Kelly, Vicky, Nicole, Michelle, Lenore, Melanie, Amanda; 4 sisters-in-law Sandra Hensley, Susan Zosky, Donna Coburn, Tammy Eskridge; brother-in-law Dayle (Jennifer) Hazlett; 3 beloved dogs Edna, Angel, and Davey Boy; as well as many other loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 16th in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home. Friends and family may call 2 hours prior to services, also in the funeral home.
