Eddie Joe Hughes, 61, of Dover, passed away Saturday, June 10th, at Hennis Care Center, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Wooster on December 20, 1961, a son of the late Linda Alexander, he was raised by late adoptive parents Robert and Claire Hughes, also preceded in death by son Chad Hughes. A United States Army Veteran, Eddie enjoyed hunting for arrowheads, raising chickens, working on engines and anything else that could be done outdoors. Survived by 3 daughters Kara Hughes, of New Philadelphia, Katie Hughes, of Canton, Emily Hughes, of Perry; son Christopher Hughes, of East Canton; sister Lisa (Mike), of Canton; 2 brothers Charles, of New Philadelphia, Clifton (Nikki), of Florida; and granddaughter Evelyn Jodelle Hughes as well as special aunt Janet Alexander of Canton. His family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for all their care and support during this difficult time. Services are not scheduled at this time.
