Edith F. Cordia

Edith F. Cordia, 85, of Canton passed away Tuesday, July 31st, at her esidence following a brief  illness.

Edith was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on February 19, 1927, the daughter of the late Donald and Margaret (Girting) McCarty, also preceded in death by her husband Frank C. Cordia Jr., died April 2, 2002, son Frank Cordia,  daughter Charlotte Cordia, sister Viola Lake, brother Ross McCarty.


Survived by 4 daughters Margaret Mahaffey of Massillon, Penny (Allen) Stoneman of Canton, Jean Hashman of Canton,  Mary Ann Guthrie of Cottageville, WV; 5 sons William Lee Cordia Sr. of Sandyville,  Robert Cordia,  John (Angel) Cordia, Raymond Cordia all of Canton, Phillip (Holly) Cordia of Mineral City;  2 sisters Mary Tucker of Jupiter, FL, Irene Ochsenbine of Minerva;  28 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.


Funeral Services will be held  11:00 AM Friday, August, 3 in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Lance Lindenberger officiating.  Friends may call 6-8 PM on Thursday, August, 2 also in the funeral home. Burial in Warstler Cemetery.  Family request donations to the funeral home to defray costs.
