Edward C. "Boomer" Cherrine, Sr., 79, of Canton, passed away Thursday, February 1st, at his daughter-in-law's residence following a lengthy illness. Born in Canton on November 7, 1938. Preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Hess) Cherrine who died November 1, 2014; son Steve Cherrine; grandson Charles Anthony Cherrine; 1 sister and 3 brothers. Employed at Georgia Pacific of Canton for 54 years; retiring in 2008. Boomer was an avid bowler, belonged to bowling leagues at Eastberry Lanes here in Canton. Survived by son Edward "Eddie" (Diana) Cherrine; 8 grandchildren Angie, Edward III, Timothy, Danny, Savanna, Brandon, Mikayla, Nathaniel; 11 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Robert Kannal; and a nephew Greg Conley.
