Edward E Dolph, 68, of Canton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 12, at his residence following a sudden illness.
Born on July 21, 1942, in Canton, to the late Adam and Dorothy (Cocklin) Dolph, also preceded in death by brothers Daniel, Dwaine, David Dolph and a sister Dorothy Dolph.
Retired in 2000 after 35 years of service with the Timken Company, and served in the US Air Force as a Sgt. during the Vietnam era. Was an active member of the P'na Sportsmans Club and volunteered at its Total Living Center, a Scoutmaster for Troop 117, organized a basketball team and coached at the McGregor School and served on its Halloween Committee for 15 years. Edward enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards, watching sports on t.v., Diet Coke, and playing with his grandchildren.
Survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Judy (Kirkley) Dolph, a son, Ricco Dolph of the home;
daughter, Jennifer Dolph of Canton, two grandchildren, Kayla and Leroy, four brothers, Adam (Glenna) Dolph, Tay Dolph, Joseph Dolph, and Dennis Dolph all of Canton, Aunt Betty and Aunt Dee also of Canton, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home, at 1pm on Thursday, February 17th, with Rev. Steve Todd officiating. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8pm also at Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home. Interment at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
