Edward Thomas Palmer, 61, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, November 28th, at Aultman Hospital. Born in Indiana, PA on December 1, 1961, a son of the late John and Sarah (King) Palmer, also preceded in death by 3 sisters Cecelia Pahel, Helen Smith, and Pearl Daugherty, brother John Palmer, 2 special brother-in-laws Marvin Daugherty, and Danny Johnson. He loved fishing, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and most of all loved spending time with his family. Survived by his wife of 39 years, Freeda Mae (Johnson) Palmer; loving daughter Shirley (Eric) Bell; 4 sisters Barb (Ernie) Daugherty; Sally (Larry) Palmer; Evelyn Matheson; Joann Hand; brother Raymond (Darlene) Palmer; 2 grandchildren Emerson and Marlowe Bell; God daughter Elizabeth Wheeler; special buddy and nephew Jayden Wise; as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was a father figure to many of his nieces, nephews and his daughter's friends. Ed will be missed by many. Calling hours will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM on Wednesday December 6th, in the Waltner Simchak Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday December 7th, also in the funeral home, with Elder Christopher Taylor officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Louisville.
