Edward W Riese, 70, of North Lawrence, passed away Monday, August 26th, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Massillon on March 16, 1949, a son of the late Carl E. and Lovetta M. (Kuntz) Riese, also preceded in death by brother Raymond Riese. He was a 1968 graduate of Massillon Washington High School, served in the Vietnam War with the Army Corps of Engineers, and a retired  truck driver after many years. Besides his wife Kathleen (Friend) Riese, he is survived by daughter Lacie (Bryan) Anstine; son Jayce Riese; sister Geraldine (Dale) Dean; brother-in-laws William "Jim" (Kathy) Friend Jr., Rodney "Rock" (Debra) Friend; best friend Ralph (Mary) Paul; special cousins; and many nieces and nephews. Per his wishes no funeral services will be held. The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice for the loving care given to Ed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mercy Hospice.
