She always made sure they revered their father as the authority figure in their lives. She eventually was blessed with one daughter, which was a great moment in her life to have a daughter amongst all the boys. Due to personal changes in her life she began to head out into the workforce where she successfully held several jobs, GE Capital being her favorite where she won many rewards for the work, she performed for them. She also was a loved member of the school staff down at the Path of Life Christian School that she worked at for her first Church Home, the Church of God Evening light on Thornton Street under the care of Pastor Dr. Keith Fuller. She was a Sunday school teacher and performed other duties during the many years served there. Church and having a personal walk with God was very important to her. She spent the later years as a member of Arlington Church of God under Pastor Dr. Diane Swoopes and Pastor Dr. Charles Myricks where she also had many church friends and assisted with the young children on Sunday mornings. In her 72 years of life, she was a published author, writer and enjoyed traveling with her sisters and visiting her best friend, Linda Abel.
