Emanuil Savu, 89, of Canton, passed away Thursday, January 9th, surrounded by loved ones, in his daughters home. Born in Boiu, Romania on November 25, 1930, a son of the late Ioan and Raveca (Badeu) Savu. He was a member of St. George Orthodox Church of Canton. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Elena (Iosif) Savu; 2 daughters Elena Emilia Catona, of Alliance, Doina Maria (Eugen) Rosca, of Massillon; 2 grandchildren Eugen and Emily. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Monday, January 13th in the St. George Romanian Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. Ionel Satnoianu officiating. Friends may call on Sunday, January 12th from 6PM to 8PM with a Saracusta Service at 7:30PM. Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery.
