Ernestine Newman, 75, of Canton, passed away Thursday, April 5th. Born in Philippi, West Virginia on August 5, 1942, a daughter of the late Mildred Miner and John  Newman. Also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Wilford Mayle Sr.,2 sons Lee and Earl Mayle; 3 sisters Emma Jane Mayle, Wanda Lott, and Rossabell Croston; and 1 brother Stevie Newman. Survived by her daughter Angel (Bill) Hunt, of North Canton; 2 sons Wilford Newman Jr and Ronnie L. Newman; 4 sisters Eloise and Barb (Jack) Dalton, all of Canton, Leona Mayle, and Josephine Springfield, of Philippi, WV. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Brittany Newman, Sylvia McClure, Alexis Hunt, Madyson Hunt; numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; close family Reana Layton, Rose Mayle, Wilda Serna, and Ronald Dean Mayle. Funeral services will be held 1 pm on Monday April 9th in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Bishop Marvin "Jack" Mayle officiating. Friends may call from 11 until time of service also in the funeral home. Burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
