Esther "June" Miller, 91, of Canton, passed away Friday, January 9th, in the Altercare of Louisville following an extended illness. Born in Jewett on June 13, 1923, and graduated from Jewett High School in 1941 as their Valedictorian. Preceded in death by her parents Ira and Emma Arbaugh, husband Robert H. Miller, sisters Evelyn Stewart and Frances Kimmel, brothers Edwin Arbaugh and Dean Arbaugh. Along with her husband she was the former owner of Johnnie's Pastry Shop in Massillon. A life member of the Seventh Armored Division Association, a member of Mercy Senior Friends, also a member of the former Fairmount Park Presbyterian Church where she was church treasurer, Sunday school teacher, choir member, and co-director of the junior choir, and a current member of Zion Lutheran Church of Canton. June also volunteered as a past president of Mckinley Band Parents, and a former Girl Scout Leader. Survived by two daughters Vickie Jayne Miller, of Cuyahoga Falls and Brenda Kay Miller of Hoboken, New Jersey, along with several nieces and a nephew. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday January 13th at 1 PM in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral home with Pastor Carolyn Wagar Hier officiating. Friends may call from 11 AM till time of service. A private burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery Jewett, OH on Wednesday January 14 th .
