Florence Freytag Engstrom, age 102, died April 18, 2018. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 13, 1915 to the late Julius William and Louise (Lehman) Freytag, also preceded in death by both her husbands Paul Fitzgerald and Karl Engstrom, sister Janice Casterline,  brothers and sister in laws Melvin (Vallie) Freytag, Elmer (Lois) Freytag, step daughter Sandra Carulli, and daughter in law MaryAnne Fitzgerald. Raised in Massillon, a graduate of Washington High School, she moved to Syracuse, NY and worked at General Electric before retiring to Kenansville, FL where she volunteered at the local library. She moved back to Ohio in 2006. Florence was a "people person' and had many life long friends, keeping in touch over the years with those near and far. She never missed sending friends and relatives cards for their birthdays and special occasions. Survived by daughter Sibyl (Leron) Thomas;  2 sons Gary Fitzgerald, David (Donna) Fitzgerald; six grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. According to her wishes there will be no calling hours or services.
