Frank D. Patterson Sr., 75, of Canton, passed away Friday, April 28th, at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born in Williamstown, West Virginia on January 3, 1942, a son of the late Martin and Carrie (Smith) Patterson, also preceded in death by loving companion Gladys Hupp, daughter Teresa June Delauder, son Frank D. Patterson Jr, and brothers Bob, George, Chuck, Jack, and Junior. Employed as an equipment operator at United Foundries for 43 years, retiring in 2009. A member of the VFW Post 3747 of Canton and the American Legion of Louisville.

He is survived by 4 daughters Rita Hupp, Tina (Doug) Elliott, Penny Tice, Brenda (Ed) Throckmorton; brother Ronnie Patterson; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren;  former wife and loving friend June Patterson; numerous nieces and nephews along with a large extended family and many caring friends. Funeral services will be held 1pm on Wednesday, May 3rd in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Cosentino officiating. Friends may call 2 hours prior to services also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
