Franklin Marcus Mayle, 82, of Bolivar, went home with his Heavenly Savior on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center.
He attended the Crystal Park Wesleyan Church of Canton. Franklin retired after 39 years as a Flux Operator from LTV Steel in Canton.
Born in Moatsville, WV to the late Oled and Naomi (Pritchard) Mayle on August 15, 1928, also preceded in death by his wife, whom he married on May 13, 1955, Lometa Mayle in September 2009, and his brother Gene Mayle.
Franklin is survived by three children, Timothy (Betty) Mayle of Louisville, Carla (Alan) Hewitt of Bolivar, and Franklin K. (Scott Gainey) Mayle of Richville, two sisters, Marlene (Paul) Collins of Hubbard, Rowena (Bill) Snyder of Wilmington, DE, four brothers, Lincoln (Arlene) Mayle of Warren, MI, Donnie (Brenda) Mayle of Westland, MI, Andrew Mayle and Conley Mayle both of Grafton, WV, grandchildren Yvonne (Shawn) Jackson, Timothy (Dawn) Mayle, Jr., Heather (Brian) Biallas, great-grandchildren Tyler, Trevor, Brandon, Lauren, Ethan, an expected great-grandson, many nieces and nephews, cousins and others he was considered a "father figure" of many.
The family would like to thank Dr. Utlak and Dr. Manus and the staff of Mercy Medical Center for their care and compassion.
Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at the Crystal Park Wesleyan Church of Canton with Rev. Winfield Mayle and Rev. Robert Bolois officiating. Friends are invited to call on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm in the Waltner-Simchak Funeral Home.
