Fred Eugene Meeder went home to be with the Lord while in the arms of his loving wife on November 24, 2023. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 1, 1949. He was the second son of the late Roland and Mary Meeder, also preceded in death by his father-in-law Mike Leech and sister-in-law Shirley R. Starcher. Fred was honorably discharged from the US Army Stand By Reserve on August 5, 1976 obtaining a National Defense Medal, Sharp Shooter M-16. He was employed as a property manager, licensed water and sewer operator until 2005 with UMH properties. Survived by his wife Virginia E. (Leech) Meeder, they celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on October 14th, 2023; mother-in-law (mum) Janice Leech, of Waynesburg; sister Judy (Ron) Sitler of Cranberry Twp, PA; 3 brothers Roy E (Julie) Meeder of Mars, PA, Scott (Mary) Meeder, of Monongalia, PA, and Harold W (Susan) Meeder of Quinlan, TX; sister-in-law Shelley R. Leech of Waynesburg; as well as many nieces; nephews; cousins; family members and friends; including nephew Corey J. (Tasha) Starcher of Waynesburg; niece Raven B. Lunsford of Waynesburg; cousins Davey Gray of Magnolia and Marie Coffey of Dellroy. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
